Allan, your lucky the tech didn't check your base ignition timing. should
have been 10 btc according to emissions label right? He also could have
nailed you for the bypass valve. You got a cool smog guy.  He could have
failed you for that...

I just passed CA smog. My O2 sensor is getting old and slow so I'm
surprised at how good I did. For info I've:
ported the head with big EX valves
polished the chamber
Cc'd to 54 cc's (8.7:1)
ported manifolds
stock fuel & ignition curves for the 1st 2 load curves
100 k on the block & rings
super coupe intercooler
bypass valve
ignition base "14 deg"

The "tech" said I'd be even cleaner if the mix was 14.4 ( I think it was
something like 14.8 or low 15's). In CA we have the "dyno test under
load".
