Re: [tuner23] Re: Air Temp Sensor?

Hey all!

I've been unable to find the code that lead me to
believe high ACT temps pulled ignition timing. At
this point, I have to conclude that my thinking was
most likely wrong.

Sorry to have confused anyone.

Looking at Jeff Engel's LA3 disassembly my best
guess to date is that:

ACT effects boost control and spark timing but not
fuel control.

PT WOT
The spark advance adder functions at 2C56 and 2C72
use VAT and not ACT.
PT WOT
The spark advance adder tables at 3518 and 35A0 use
ACT for the x-axis.

Based on the data in the tables at 3518 and 35A0 a
maximum of 2 degrees spark advance is added below 60 degrees F.

Also based on the calibration data at 3518 and 35A0
spark timing is never retarded based on ACT.
