It should run like it needs a tune up.

Also if you do a diagnostics self test you should get a list of codes about
the sensors that are not working, the engine check light (MIL) should have
been ON long time ago if you have one.

The performance you are getting sounds like the same performance I am
getting out of my turbo 93 DPDIS Mustang engine equipped Pinto SW.

 Got another question.  How will the car run if it is
 in limp mode,  I heard their is a mode that ignores
 most of the sensors and locks the timing.  Then runs
 off a different fuel map. This 93 turbo stang is just
 running too damn good to be in limp mode IMHO.  It
 will blow the tires off at will through second and
 third gear at only 14-15 lbs boost. Dont think it
 would do this in limp mode.
