Good point. My comments were for timing only.

never retarded based on ACT.
That doesn't sound right. There are two similar
tables, one for VAT and the other ACT. Both add '0'
timing and subtract it after the temperature goes high
enough.
Let me take another look at the code. My mouth isn't
big enough for both feet. 8)
