[tuner23] Re: Air Temp Sensor?

Looking at Jeff Engel's LA3 disassembly my best guess to date is that:

ACT effects boost control and spark timing but not fuel control.

PT WOT
The spark advance adder functions at 2C56 and 2C72 use VAT and not ACT.
PT WOT
The spark advance adder tables at 3518 and 35A0 use ACT for the x-axis.

Based on the data in the tables at 3518 and 35A0 a maximum of 2 degrees spark advance is added below 60 degrees F.

Also based on the calibration data at 3518 and 35A0 spark timing is never retarded based on ACT.

I can't speak of other peoples setup in the past but mine are working fine and I am not about to change anything on them just
because some one had a bad experience or the code says so.

Jaime,

After taking a quick look at the disassembly, the
table at 0x2C56 seems to be the one that adjusts
timing according to intake air temp.

I think Probst has it wrong this time.
