NO, it will not work, the 5.0 clutch is larger (10 inch i think?).
the proper clutch for a 2.3L T5 is a 9 1/4" with a 10 spline hub.
also, regaurding the off-topic bit, this question would probably be 
better recieved on the Turbo yahoo group.
