Hey,
I'm writing free 2.3T "dyno" software similar to Dyno2000, specific to the
2.3 family. But, I can't seem to find much information on the web about
some things..
Question:
What sort of function is the friction work "lost" to the crank bearings
and piston rings?
What about with the camshaft and tappet, camshaft bearings and rocker
pivots? (indirectly)
Is it linear? Is it that inaccurate to use an average percentage? How
much does oil viscosity change the friction work? How much does it change
by vendor?
Any insight or data is appreciated.. If y'all don't want to entertain my
questions, let me know..
Thanks,
Jon
